Cavan Canoeing brought us on a trip starting from their excellent facilities at Carratraw Bridge onto Cloughoughter Castle. Thanks to Sean Thornton, Fergus and Mark Connolly for an excellent day out full of interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the river along with a detail knowledge of the history of the area especially Cloughoughter Castle. Definitely one of Cavan's hidden secrets
