International Disabled Fishing Event Annagh Lake














The competition took place on Annagh Lake 23rd and 24th June 2007. This is a major event with four countries taking part, England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The anglers all suffer from disabilities and were fishing from boats starting and finishing at O'Hare's Boat Jetty, Butlersbridge. The anglers and officials stayed in the Cavan Crystal Hotel for the weekend and a banquet held in the hotel at 7.30 on Sunday evening. Over the 2 days 79 fish were caught weighing 141Lbs, with England winning the overall event totalling 70lbs 3oz.
