After years of promising to climb Croagh Patrick finally we got there 04/08/2014 started out at 7.30am in the morning, Not a cloud in the sky. Gave a lift to a young fello thumbing a lift outside Westport. Young fello of 74 that is, from west Cork heading to do the climb also. barefoot. He first climbed it in 1968. Fair play to him, anyway met him again on the way down, said same time next year. So am committed to it now.
Spectacular views all round, definitely worth the trip
